Horrible book. The author seems very intent on trying to place a much blame on the betrayed partner as possible. In my opinion... NOTHING a betrayed partner does ever justifies the infidelity of the unfaithful partner. The are hundreds of other avenues that don't involve cheating. Also, the use of the word "lover" for the affair partner is inappropriate to say the least and I find it very offensive. I think reading this book actually made things worse. I highly recommend NOT wasting your money or your time. Interesting content and somehow helpful. But it suffers from TWO points or issues.A) Just like every other (and I mean "EVERY OTHER") self-help/self-heal book, it is a twenty-page concept with 200 pages of endless examples of the various Jacks and Jills and their problems. You have to be able to skip their stories and look for the advice or analysis that sometimes is after the story, sometimes before, and sometimes mixed within the Jack n' Jill story!B) - And this is important, it is overwhelmingly written for female readers. But... men are being cheated on too, you know! Yes, of course you can reverse the pronouns and the Jack and Jill roles, but there are sections where the author distinguishes between the two genders, and then the analysis related to the "hurt" man is lacking in depth and space!
